Simple statement.

I Am Here.

The surroundings of buildings of Portland, Oregon echoed the sound of my own drumming and splashes of paint. Water-blue acrylic paint on a drum set overflowed out of the beat of my drum.

With the assistance of Joseph Rodriguez and sound based on Latin rhythms of my improvised drumming style, the people who were walking by new I was there. The importance of this performance was not only the energetic messy performance itself but also the mark of paint left after the performance was done. “I Am Here” was a performance piece in which at a time, existed when I was physically there creating it, and also existed without me, with only the evidence from the splashes of blue paint onto the clothing.
